Closure of the Trust
Following a lack of volunteers to be either Trustees or to assist in arranging projects, the Chew Valley Youth Trust was dissolved on 16 May, 2012 immediately following the Annual General Meeting.
Although it is sad that the Trust has closed, we would like to thank everyone in the community who came forward to support our goals either with their time, valuable funding or moral support.
As a legacy, the Chew Valley Youth Trust, working with Bath and North East Somerset's Youth Enablement Fund, successfully delivered a wider consultation on the need for youth provision in the Chew Valley Area. A copy of this report can be found here.
In addition, the £4,700 kindly awarded by Westhill Endowment Trust has been commuted to the Egg Theatre, who are now managing this project to ensure that an exciting Performing Arts project is available to young people in the Valley. We are grateful to the Egg Theatre for rescuing this project, and to Westhill for being flexible in changing the recipient of the funding.
